Ben Shamis

Managing Partner | Healthcare IT

Ben Shamis is a Managing Partner for DRI’s Healthcare IT team, working to connect top candidates with leading organizations in the industry. Ben leverages his extensive experience in the healthcare space to provide customized recruiting solutions to clients looking to hire talented professionals.

Prior to joining the DRI team, Ben gained over 8 years of experience as a physician consultant where he specialized in physician compensation planning with a particular focus on helping to ensure fair market value and commercial reasonableness. He also held roles in the financial industry supporting financial, operational and business development initiatives. Ben received an MBA from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and graduated with a BS in Accounting and International Business from Indiana University.

Outside of his work at Direct Recruiters, Ben enjoys attending concerts and sporting events, traveling, biking with his kids and trying new restaurants with his wife. He currently lives with his family in the north suburbs of Chicago but remains an avid Cleveland sports fan.
