Position Title: Head of Foundational Company Sales

  • Location: Remote – preference for candidates based in Minneapolis, MN, Columbus, OH, or Irvine, CA

About the Opportunity

The Head of Foundational Sales is a new role that will lead a critical segment of Avandra’s commercial organization, responsible for maintaining and growing revenue across enterprise hardware and software sales, primarily to health systems, hospitals, large multi-specialty medical groups, and imaging centers. This is a player-coach role overseeing a team that currently includes the Head of Channel & OEM Sales, a Sales Manager, and a Sales Development Representative.

The position combines strategic leadership with hands-on selling. Core performance metrics will center on executing against an annual team quota, building pipeline, and expanding existing relationships. You will quickly learn Avandra’s products, customer base, and sales operations, while refining and revamping GTM motions for our foundational companies that Avandra acquired in 2024 and 2025.

Ideal candidates bring deep experience in enterprise healthcare sales—particularly in imaging, equipment, or SaaS—and thrive in an environment that values initiative, accountability, and operational excellence.

  • Lead and scale the foundational company sales function, setting clear goals and performance standards for the team.
  • Drive new enterprise business and manage existing customer relationships to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Maintain an active personal sales pipeline and help the team close high-value opportunities.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to elevate overall sales effectiveness.
  • Oversee CRM integrity, forecasting accuracy, and reporting cadence.
  • Build repeatable sales processes and playbooks to support predictable growth.
  • Partner closely with Product, Marketing, and Operations to align GTM strategy and execution.
  • Collaborate internally and analyze market trends, customer feedback, and competitive positioning to inform strategy and product alignment.
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise healthcare sales, ideally in imaging, equipment, or SaaS.
  • Proven record of meeting or exceeding team quotas of at least $10M.
  • Experience leading and developing sales teams.
  • Strong understanding of health system purchasing and contracting processes.
  • Skilled communicator who is able to engage both clinical and executive audiences.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-stage environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms (Salesforce preferred).
  • Strong preference: Prior experience developing process, systems, metrics, and teams for new enterprise sales motions.

  • Strategic Operator: Scales structure and process without losing agility.
  • Technically Fluent: Quickly learns complex products and communicates value.
