Nya Brooks joins Direct Recruiters as a part of our new initiative, Direct Community Impact (DCI). As Workforce Placement Coordinator, she connects high school kids and local companies to create the foundation for long-lasting careers without the prerequisite of higher education.

DCI is a collaboration between Direct Recruiters and Values in Action, a Cleveland based non-profit organization that teaches students soft skills needed for entering the workforce. This 16-week program partners students with mentors to teach skills like resume building, interview preparation, and more. Nya has worked with Values in Action for many years, and she brings her skills to DCI to help students learn and grow as they begin their career paths.

In her free time, Nya enjoys spending time with her two sons and her friends. She enjoys shopping and reading, but most importantly she loves the work she does. Nya believes in giving these kids a fighting chance at life, outside of pursuing a degree, by providing them with opportunities that they may have never thought was possible.
